Grammar Practice, Elections, and Cultural Heritage Day

This week in Writing, we practiced several different grammar skills so that we can apply them to our final Narrative writing piece. As a fun way to practice these skills, we played some games including Scoot and Who Dun It. We also had a race to see which team could properly punctuate all the dialogue in sentences first. On Friday, we completed some story swaps. To do this, we each wrote a few sentences before it was time to pass the writing off to the next person. It was great to see where different people took the same storyline. This is definitely a Fun-Write Friday activity we will be doing again soon!

We held our Biztown Elections for Mayor and District Attorney on Wednesday. All of our candidates did an excellent job. Congratulations to Camille for winning the role of Mayor!

Our Cultural Heritage Party was Friday afternoon and it was a blast! Thanks so much to our parent volunteers for making it such a wonderful afternoon. We were able to learn about Egypt, India, and China through different activities, while enjoying some good food from our countries.

This Week's Question: What is one thing you learned at our Cultural Heritage Day party?
