Week One

We had a great first week in 6th Grade! It has been wonderful getting to know the students and I cannot wait to see where this year takes us.

I especially enjoyed reading the letter logs from each of you. I am looking forward to reading and writing more letters with you!

We will be starting some new things this week in ELA and will be doing some more read alouds to help guide our thinking, reading, and writing.

As a friendly reminder, do not forget to bring in items for the front of your free writing notebook. After reading Wilfred Gordon McDonald Partridge by Mem Fox, we talked about finding pictures, postcards, etc. of our own memories. These will cover the front of our writer's notebooks so that whenever we cannot think of something to write about, we can look at our memories for ideas.

Less than a Week to Go!

Hello Sixth Graders!

There is less than one week until school starts on the 22nd! I am SO excited to be your ELA teacher this year and cannot wait to meet you all soon. If you weren't able to come to the Open School Sessions, you can get a sneak peek of our classroom by looking at the pictures below.

See you on Wednesday!
